It has recently coming to our attention that a well know member of our community has a shady past and may very well be up to his old tricks again or at least taking advantage of his followers. In this article, we lay out before you, past and present schemes and "scams".
The cryptocurrency community takes a battering everyday. It's reputation coming under constant attack. People in the space need to be held accountable. Jason Appleton AKA The Crypto Crow is one of those people.
Please note. This is a very long article, but in order to present everything we need to do this.
Part 1. What we know.
Formerly sold penis enhancement pills (Alleged Scam Unverified)
Attempted to run for Governor of Ohio 2011 (Withdrew)
Formerly Greed Monger development (Scam, Investors still out of pocket)
Former owner of Socilate Nightclub (Failed)
Formerly reality TV guy in a swinger show (Failed)
Signed MMA fighter for event from hospital bed, 2 days after suicide attempt!
Most Youtube channel subscribers are bots!
Before we get too deep into this article, it's worth remembering that although Jason craves legitimacy, and has recently started to align himself with more well know YouTubers to enhance this. We still need to remember that the vast majority of his YouTuber subscribers are bots (fake) paid for in December 2017 and January 2018. We can clearly see this in the image below:
There is no getting away from the fact that he purchased 40k-50k subscribers around this time. Hence why his video view count to subscriber ratio is way off!
Greed Monger Scam
Unfortunately this turned in to a complete mess, partly due to poor project management, poor skill levels of the developers involved and a total underestimate of the funds required to completed the work. In the end, very little was delivered and the backers of the project were left out of pocket, while Mr Appleton walked away with the $100k. Subsequent evidence points to most of the money been spent on a new home. Ahhhh thats nice!
When this was exposed earlier this year, Jason decided to "come clean" and proceed to make a video on the subject. This very "emotional" video was essentially him praising himself for having the balls to take this project on. He played the old, I've always been a risk taking card and people knew there was a chance this could fail. He promised to repay everyone, now he had found fame and fortune.
Once again this appears to have been an empty promise. Soon after the initial round of refunds, he apparently was wasting too much time processing them and everything was halted. In fairness, he just didn't have the time to process them! He is way to busy for that!!
Although the $25 category was the one that got the most refunds. Only 2 backers in the $306 category got refunds, and nobody in the $500-$3,700 category got any at all. Leaving the majority of investors still out of pocket.
Yet, we can see from a recent Twitter post, that his is clearly not due to a lack of funds on Jason's part.. It's simple down to him not giving a shit.
Clearly more important to have transport for the family!

Rina Hera & The Lost "Giveaways"
The song you hear at the beginning of all of Jason's videos is sung by Rina Hera. It was produced many months ago, with Jason stating he would be paying her 1BTC. To date, this has not happened. We know she has received some donations for her work from viewers, but nothing from Jason!
How about you pay the lady for her work Jason?
To our know knowledge the actually creator of the song has not been paid for his work either!
If you've watch his channel, one thing you will notice, he is always talking about giving to charity or "Helping" people make it like him. He has a tendency to run giveways, such as the recent hard wallet promo he ran. Yet not a single person has ever received anything from him. But you can be sure he will blame somebody else for this.
Taking the moral high ground or just a "Swinger"
One thing Mr Appleton is really good at, is telling others how great he is at donating to charity, how he now lives by a strong moral compass.Unfortunately the evidence suggests otherwise. We've never actually seen any evidence of him donating to charity. But he does like to suggest this in an effort to enhance his damaged reputation.
Indeed if you look at this article, you'll see Jason doesn't care about the people he works with. He clearly thought he could sign a high profile name in the MMA scene when he was at his most vulnerable. He had attempted suicide 2 days early, yet Jason still tried to sign him up for a fight for his MMA promotional company. DISGUSTING! But Jason, still managed to recently upload a video talking about suicide. What a complete two faced prick!
Another peculiar element to his lifestyle are his Swinger parties! Now don't get me wrong, I am not saying this is a right or wrong lifestyle choice. But we did find this attempt to once again make it on the big screen particularly humorous.
He even created an app called SwingEasy that for a time was on the Apple store! Which according to online sources was designed and promoted by Jason Appleton, a reality TV star of the hit show, Neighbors with Benefits!

Although controversial for some, Swinging is obviously not illegal, but it does say a lot about ones personality and apparently his wife is cool with him hitting on other women.
Some of his previous comments on women aren't very flattering either.
I think its disgusting how he speaks to this young women about her daughter!
But he doesn't seem to be concerned about getting caught. As he says himself "I'll just cry it out on a video"
Since we are on the subject of his attitudes, it seems Jason has a similar disregard for law enforcement. We can see he has had numerous run ins with the law. Click Here to see (Only works for US readers)
Super Dooper Trading Bot!
For months and months Jason has been pushing a cryptocurrency trading bot (Profit Trailer) onto his followers, telling people, its the best thing since the internet was invented or showing us how to go from $1000-$1 million in a year. There is numerous videos on profit trailer. Yet now we learn he has been secretlyvworking on a super dooper bot that will blow this one out of the water! Guess what, he is one of the owners of this bot! So, your telling people to invest in Profit Trailer, while at the same time working on an alternative?!Remember there is an ongoing campaign to raise funds for this project, via a token sale and VIP memberships. But we now know that there is NO working product and the funds raised have already been used to pay developers so they don't leave for other projects. Does this sound like a familiar story????
When pressed on this matter recently, Jason reacted admits he has been working on the project for 6 months! Yet was actively shilling PT at the same time!
Which takes us nicely up to his hedge fund investors... God knows how they feel.. Always the opportunist, Jason quickly realised that there was a huge opportunity here. He quickly started talking about his past success in cryptocurrency (remember he only came into the space last November 2017) more frequently on his videos. Stating he had enormous success and people where queuing up to employ his services. At this time he starting saying he was going to be a millionaire by the end of the year. All designed to catch people's attention and create a frenzy for fast cash.
Low and behold he sets up a cryptocurrency hedge fund! BUT there is limited spaces, people have got to get in quick! At the beginning it was for everyone, but realizing that would take huge effort, the minimum buy in was quickly raised to $1000, followed by a $5000 minimum buy in! Yet people still queued up.
Now we learn, investors had to agree to some pretty meaty conditions!
First off, they had to agree to $30 a month subscription fee, and Jason will take 20% of all profits at the end of the year.
Bear in mind that was close to the height of the last bull run, imagine what does investments are worth now? But, hey! Come on! It was just the way the markets went! Even Pros get caught out sometimes!
At one stage there was over 1000 people in his Patreon group, with the lowest monthly subscription to the group been $19.99.. Do the math... Thankfully that number has come down to over 600, but that is still a hugely monthly intake. We believe most of these poor souls are stuck in there, because if they leave, they forfeit their investment into the "fund"
One thing Mr. Appleton loves to do, is show us, just how well off he is. How good life is. How he has gone from rags to riches thanks to wise cryptocurrency investments, and lets give the guy some credit. He is one hell of a marketeer!
But for some unknown reason, he continues to go down the wrong road. Taking advantage of all those that follow him. It's a shame, because with his marketing skills, he really could have done good for the community. Instead he's pissed all over his followers, just like when he was in the gaming community and the MMA community before that.
He just flips from industry to industry trying to make money for himself but leaves a mess behind and total failure!
Teach us!
How many times have we heard, "I am here to teach you, so we can all get rich" Jason regularly says this in his videos.. He's now proclaimed his vast knowledge in TA and trading techniques will be transferred to video so we can all learn how his secret trading skills work. Yet in a recent video, he stated he just purchased "TA For Dummies" WoW, just WOW!But one of the most troubling things, is he attitude to women. He displays zero respect and regularly objectifies women. How can we expect more women to enter the space when we have people like Mr Appleton in it?
Jason, do us all a favor and leave this space, you are definitely a "One and Doner" here!
